These two trails are designated "National Recreation Trails" by the National Park Service.

Redding's west side includes a variety of trails from the paved Blue Gravel Mine Trail to the unpaved Westside Trails, offering a variety of hiking and biking opportunities. Then, finally journey to the Lema Ranch Trail for the best prolonged views of mountain scenery.
