New Houseboat Debuts at Shasta Lake
The Grand Sierra EX is the flagship of the Seven Crown fleet, and with a waterslide,
flybridge, and 20 inch TV, it is the most fully-equipped houseboat in the Seven Crown
Resorts fleet. Available at Lake Mohave and Shasta Lake, the Grand Sierra EX is a split-deck
cruiser that sleeps up to 13 guests in complete comfort, which includes a penthouse sleeping
area, spiral staircase and spacious upper deck. Features include air conditioning, generator,
fully provisioned kitchen including microwave oven, gas barbecue (propane included), twin
60/70 hp Evinrude outboard motors, cruise speed - 6mph/8mph max., dual 100 gallon fuel tanks,

Camping Yurts Available at Shasta Lake
Three Yurts are available in Lakeshore East Campground overlooking the Sacramento
arm of Shasta Lake. Though generally classified as a tent, a yurt is a modern adaptation
of an ancient shelter used by nomads for centuries. Each adorable yurt is furnished to
sleep 5 with one futon bed and one twin over full bunk bed. Mattresses are provided,
but please bring your own bedding. Each of these yurt sites will continue to provide
tent pads and parking to accommodate RV's. What better way to spend the night outdoors
while sleeping comfortably!

New Soccer Park Opens in Redding
The Redding Soccer Park opened its gates this last weekend. This 10.2 million dollar ,
22-acre complex is a one-of-a-kind, "State-of-the-Sport" soccer facility boasts four,
all-weather, synthetic-turf NCAA regulation sized, lighted fields. All weather means
this is the only soccer complex in California that can realistically say "Your tournament
will never be cancelled because of rain at our venue". The complex has a full restaurant,
with over 2000 square feet of covered seating, a play area for the younger "tag along" fans,
with slides, climbing walls and other features to keep them busy during the games. In addition
to the restaurant area there's an administration building with a pro-shop for last minute
playing needs, and classroom for instruction and team meetings. Events held at the new park
like the one held opening weekend, have a very positive impact on hotel occupancy. The
tournament brought over 700 visitors to Redding, and accounted for about 500 room nights in the
Redding area hotels. The local economic impact from one tournament can be in excess of $100,000.00.
